About Bencar Building

Bencar Building Corp. officially opened its doors in March of 1994 after completing several renovation projects and constructing three new homes in Westchester County.  Tom Bennett, Owner and President of Bencar Building, is a master carpenter who is committed to excellence while paying close attention to every last detail in the homes he is constructing.  The company name was formed by conflating "Bennett" and "Carey", the maiden name of Tom's wife and partner, Breda.

Bencar Building began constructing homes and buildings throughout New York City, Westchester and Putnam.  In 2012 the focus moved to the Hamptons and Bencar has been building top-quality homes in various Hampton neighborhoods since. Its most recent projects include compled and sold modern-style homes in the beautiful area of Water Mill.  Prior to these modern-style homes, Bencar constructed several classic, shingle-style gambrel homes in the Southampton Village estate section, Southampton Village and Water Mill.  All these homes were completed on schedule, with top craftsmanship, quality finishes and often feature amenities, such as 11' ceilings, large walk-in closets, natural light-filled spaces, exquisite kitchen, top-of-the-range appliances, gunite pool, pool house, outdoor shower, tennis court and basketball court, to name a few.

Through the years and all the various projects, Tom has always remained committed to fine craftsmanship, attention to detail, listening to the customers' and/or buyers' wishes as well as working well with architects, building departments and inspectors.  His work has been featured in local newspapers, and he is always happy to provide testimonials from clients as well as show work that he has completed.
